Kendal Medical Centre was established in Christchurch in 1992 and we have enjoyed being a part of the Burnside community for the last 24 years.
As a husband and wife team, it has been our mission to extend our 'family ' environment to the medical centre where we strive to make everyone feel welcome and cared for.
Together with our practice nurse and receptionist, we are a small team of experienced and dedicated professionals who consider it to be a privilege to be involved in the healthcare of you and your family.

Digitalis - The foxglove
A British Physician named William Wuthering published his study of the foxglove plant in 1785. An extract from the plant, known as digitalis, was the first ever heart medicine. It was administered to treat heart failure and palpitations and is still used to this day but more commonly known as digoxin.
The stained glass windows in the surgery depict this plant which is why we have chosen to feature it on this website.
